I'd like to add to one of my filters a check to see if the ^DJI happens to be in an uptrend or downtrend. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Or even a way to check Advancing Issues vs. Declining Issues market-wide?

Use IND(^IXIC, <indicator>)... This is documented in the Announcements forum. (IXIC is NASDAQ, I'm not sure for the djia...)
