I don't see lower prices making higher rsi(2) using your filter, Way.. am I missing something?

Well right now, it returns 2 matches, SNDA and COGT

COGT low RSI on 11/15 .140 Price 23.52
   Friday RSI 1.70 Price 23.02

One day ago it returned WYE and COGN

WYE low RSI on 11/16 of .595 Price 42.71
   Thursday RSI .647 Price 41.56

COGN Low RSI on 11/11 of .768 Price 33.57

Exactly what divergence is all about.

Don't know what you're confused about?

  Way2close -

Sorry man, but that is NOT divergence. SNDA & COGT is NOT showing any divergence! I dont care WHAT the fractions say. If you cant SEE divergence, it's just not there period. Better check out TRO'S 2 filters in this thread. THAT'S DIVERGENCE with all do respect.

Here's the RIGG's filter without the offest and with the PD2345 column display so you know when the divergence occurred.

  TRO:
I noticed that your P2345 column entry does not include divergences in the 5th day. Does this mean that you don't regard info 5 days ago as being important? By definition, positive divergence is determined by decreasing price and increasing RSI(2) + a volume spike. My question is this: in your opinion how many days should we look for the decreasing price-increasing RSI(2) scenario with accompanying volume spike on the current day?

 thank you

  I have 3 filters.. 2 - 5 day, 6 - 9 day, 10 - 13 day divergence.

Not sure what you mean about no 5 day divergence?!?!?!?

Can you give me a stock that should show 5 day PD that doesn't?

Post your version of the filter so I can see if I can fix it.

 How many days..??

Doesn't matter! The divergence is there, so if you have to "trade" the stock from that point.

 You need entry criteria.

  TRO:
In your 'magnifying glass' post of 3/12/2006 7:50:11PM I was looking for coding for divergence 5 days ago. I saw, via your set commands, coding for 2,3 and 4 days but not for the 5th day
