No, i got in at 27.11. & have been daytrading it. Must have done it 20 times.
I'm down about .5% from before the dip. Was trading the flashing range they were giving out
& was working fine til late yesterday when it stopped. Only went long though so got out real good.
Flashing red says XIV should be around 32 but has not pulled back to those levels & not sure it will.

I see...0.5% down from where you were before the dip? That's an awesome result; although I don't know how big your core is...
Nice rally today. It was a nice surprise for the TNA position I bought at the dip around 63.3 yesterday.
Currently playing :
XIV long-term for the roll yield w/ VRP; should get some tailwind soon as VIX futures contango sets into a regular curve.
OIH/OIL for mean-reversion as they represent a low risk/high probability opportunity
GDX/NUGT long/swinging for mean-reversion and because its cheap. Miners have been lower only in `08, so I bought some 32 cents away from their lowest price since `09.
TNA bought the dip yesterday, as small-caps move much much more on the general market rallies and currently IWM lags (still down for the year).
AMZN for the gap and because its cheap.

Miners might be a good play. May move in sync with market.
UGAZ when it decides to move, could be quick & huge.
XIV is always exciting, but TVIX is more amazing.

UGAZ looks really interesting...if that base in the 13's gets broken...will take a much closer look...
I think what makes TVIX a superior market tool for "catching falling knives" is that volatility drag works in our favor...with leverage X2 it becomes crazy (CAGR -90%)...
I did some calculations - volatility drag erodes 10 to 20% annually from XIV. Leveraged and used to advantage...
That's when you get almost 11 times more money on the market rally versus "plain" S&P...

MU covered short @32.17 from 32.65 for a bit over 1%; not too bad for overnight
FB 75.68
TWTR 42.24 42.35 ; higher low shows demand; risk is a bit over 1%
UGAZ 11.25 11.34 small for now
P.S.
Miners at lows again; which doesn't make me too comfortable. Makes me wonder whether it's just making triple low base to take off or could fall lower...might average down a bit with a tight stop just around 20

Gas is quite a surprise for today...
I wonder how much DGAZ decays per year...if you time it right, you get a nice tailwind from volatility drag/leverage decay...
p.s.
sold ugaz combo average 11.3 @ 11.82

where would you say is an appropriate entry into DGAZ short?
Miners are funny to play as they remain range-bound near bottom. Simply buy GDX at ~20.1 and sell 20-30 cents higher.
